The Temple
The Swiss Temple, in Zollikofen. The whole reason for our trip to Europe! When Danny and Dalena found out, two weeks before their wedding last August, that they had to wait a year for their sealing, they made the decision to go to the Swiss Temple. It was very meaningful for Dalena, because her father was born in Bern. It was a wonderful day and a wonderful trip!
Jack and Lisa wait on the bench outside the hostel. It's time for a wedding!
Lisa took this shot with my camera. So beautiful in the early morning!
Aren't they beautiful? An eternal family! While we were in the celestial room, waiting for President Castellani to come and do the sealing, Danny went around to each of us, individually, (starting with me) and whispered, "Thank you for coming all this way for Dalena's and my and the baby's sealing." Now, that made me smile!!! Danny told all his family, and Dalena told her mom. Happy, happy day!
I call this picture, "Swiss Kiss." We waited and waited for the wind to pick up a little and blow that flag out, but it just wouldn't cooperate. This is the best we could do for a Swiss flag kissing shot.
Lisa took a few professional shots of the newly sealed couple. Of course, angles are important in professional photography. Ha ha ha!
I took a lot of temple flower shots. Temple grounds are always so beautiful. Here's a collage of some of my favorites.
One last picture. "Hi, Dad!" Dad had a wonderful morning at the temple. He went over a half hour early so he could hand deliver a note that the Grasslis had sent for President Castellani. Michalene had taken it to him while he was at Dave and Julie's the Sunday before we left. President was very excited to hear from the Grasslis. They were missionaries in Switzerland until about 6 months ago. President Castellani showed Dad all around the temple, and visited with him until the endowment session began.
